“Perfect” – (teteleiōtai) has been brought to full development, complete, having finished or run the race to the end. This “perfect love” has no mixture of fear left in it. Fearless love.
December 1, 2012
This is a question of love. What/whom do you love with priority? This world or the Father? You can only have one first love. Those who love the Father first do not live by worldly cravings, but by a redeemed desire to please God.

Pastor Gary Combs continues his exposition of 1 John entitled “Authentic Christianity.” This message from 1 John 3 is entitled “Really Loving One Another.” The apostle John taught that authentic Christians will really love one another because the love of Christ abides in them. In the first epistle of John he told the first-century believers that they could have confidence in the historical reality of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and of the message that Christ proclaimed. 1 John 1:5-2:6
Pastor Gary Combs continues the “War of the Worldviews” series with this 4th message about right and wrong, good and evil, and about that three-letter word, sin. This message takes its text from 1 John where he told the first century Christians that they must not be deceived by the humanistic thinking of their age that would keep them from confessing and repenting of their sin. That they could admit that they were in darkness and that they were sinners in need of a Savior and that Jesus would cleanse them and make them right with God. We can confront the “new tolerance” of our age that deceives us. We can admit that we are sinners and be forgiven and made right with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
